Calling back your personal power

As we go about our day, we constantly give our energy away and pick energy up from other people. Sometimes we do this without realising it, sometimes we know full well that our energy has been altered.

Some examples of where this might happen:

  • Poor personal boundaries

  • Letting ‘expectations’ get the better of us

  • Work

  • Draining relationships

  • Bad traffic

  • Difficult conversations/arguments and disagreements

  • Worrying about the past or the future

  • Having to do chores

  • Upsetting situations/circumstances

Although we can hopefully work towards being more selective in where our personal life force energy goes, we can’t control the fact that life can throw us a curveball. This is why it’s good to get into the habit of calling back your energy. Here’s how...

  • Focusing on your breath, centre yourself and relax.

  • Imagine that with your in breath, your personal energy is returning to you. And with your out breath, all energy that is not yours, returns to where it came from.

  • Set your intention - loud and clear - that you want all your energy to return to you NOW.

  • Do this until you feel yourself again.

Get creative with this - use a drum, a chime, or your voice.

In my experience, the more I do this, the more aware I become of when my energy is altering from being purely mine. It has strengthened my decision making, my sense of self and ultimately, my boundaries.

Suggested example of Calling back your personal power

This isn’t a script that needs to be followed - I encourage you to be intuitive and use words that come from you and your experiences. However, some people find that it helps to have an example, especially to start with.

As with a lot of my teachings and suggestions - if it resonates, feel free to use it. If not, feel free to discard it without a second thought :)

I call back my power

I call ALL of my power back to me now

I call back my power from all places, timelines and situations

I call back my power

I call back my power from all the ways it has been given, or taken, without me fully realising

I call back my power

I call back my power from all people, interactions and thought processes

I call back my power

I call all of my power back to me now

I call all of my power back to me now

I call all of my power back to me now

I am me, and only me

And so it is

Let me know how it feels and how you get on!
